Today, getting the paper, I came across this man sitting in the sun and savoring his early morning coffee. There’s a nice division here. On the left side of the pillar is the often constricted nature of our local neighborhood and on the right is a contented gent gazing peacefully out at the passers by.
It’s almost surreal.
He’s sitting at his usual spot but, today is different. He has a goal of 20 dollars because he wants to go to a street festival near city hall. He tells us it’s his birthday.
It’s not about the tones or the colors. It’s about the lines and their relationships.
