There’s a lovely little spot in Rockport, Maine called Beauchamp Point. I took this image from its edge with a long (400mm) lens looking almost due east. The little foot bridge and the foggy island just offshore I think gives this place an oriental feel, especially when finished off in very contrasty black and white.

Yes we are having breakfast and yes this is where we’re sitting. The place is named Nina June and it is in the town of Rockport, Maine. It is very hard to say which is better, the view or the food.

This shed is near a dock that, in another life, I used to frequent a lot because I most always had a little boat that was moored nearby. My life is urban now, but I confess to feeling a twinge of nostalgia when I saw this red mooring float yesterday.
