This guy’s extraordinary. He’s been selling these papers on the street for 30 years. Today he told me he had attended a “goin home” celebration last night. What? A “goin home” celebration is when a born again member of his church dies and goes home to God.
It’s a lovely thought.

We happen to be in London currently, getting ready to return to Boston tomorrow. The only camera I took on this trip was the Ricoh GR and it has performed like a champ.
Since it’s such a great street shooter, it was in my hand walking down Picadilly Street. As is the case in any big urban area there were some (not a lot) street people looking pretty much like those in Boston.
This man was a cut above the norm. For one thing he had a fine ascetic head, reminiscent of some 16th century saint. Add to that the umbrella and his 2 oranges and you have a photograph I think is worth keeping.
