Somehow color and clarity seem out of place in today’s buttoned up, locked down world. Spring flowers and the greening grass try valiantly to dispel the current gloom. Maybe someday……

This photograph of a massive old willow in Boston’s Public Garden looked fine in color, but to my mind it somehow has more presence in black and white.

The Shape Of Tulips

If you ask most people what they most like about tulips, my guess would be that color tops most lists. However, if you strip tulips’ color away, look what remains. Not bad eh?



This was not taken on the streets, nor is it an image that IĀ usually,post, but the hands and the deep blacks made a deepĀ impression on me.
