In the soft gloom of current selves there still shines a light.
This one was made at the Kendall Square theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I’m on the mezzanine level looking down towards the main lobby. I liked the way the grid of the building’s facade and the angles of the staircase encompass the figures.
Looking closely, really closely, at something changes the object. I’ll have a hard time explaining this but essentially what I mean is that things are shape shifters and depend on how you’re feeling at a particular time and what perspective the object presents to you changes the your opinion of it.
My new macro lens’ view of a dying tulip demonstrates, at least somewhat, what I trying to convey.
Experimenting with black and white….. It takes a whole new way of seeing but done right, I like it a lot because there is no leaning on pretty color to bailout an otherwise ordinary shot.
