Sometimes the plainest of objects situated in just the right place can make nice subjects for photographs. This cup between two old painted columns is a case in point. I think it’s enough for a nice 16 x 9 formated composition.
PS The bright red against the grey doesn’t hurt either.
Having made just made a case for the worthiness of this picture, I could also argue that it’s just too plain. Time will tell. I don’t know about you but I have a tendency to judge my photographs too hastily and find that letting them “marinate” for a while before forming an opinion about them helps make a better decision about their quality.
We’ll see which way this one goes.

No real reason to stop (a discarded cup?!)
Somebody coming out the door behind this wall
Gloves fell on the sidewalk
Hope I don’t drop my camera
Young guy (the owner?) hurried past
Maybe late for work
Doesn’t mind me taking photograph
No doubt thinks I’m nuts
