Winter Apples

This little old apple tree is absolutely loaded with dead fruit. They cling to her tenaciously. I’m not sure why our recent snow, wind and rain have not brought them down but it would seem it will take more than a few storms to loosen their grip.

She must be a very good mother.

Rain Rain and More Rain

I suppose I shouldn’t gripe. If all the rain we’ve been having lately was snow, we would be buried hip deep and heading for a snow shovel induced heart attack. That said, it has been miserable around here lately and catching a peek at the sun would do wonders for this guy’s gloomy spirit.

We were in the Boston area for a lovely Christmas eve celebration with my son and that was fun, but there again it rained the whole time we were there so I had to console myself with a massive dose of Sarah’s pumpkin chiffon pie.

The weather gurus say it’s going to turn much colder tomorrow but the sun might come out for a while which should make the extra layers of clothes worthwhile.

The New Year will be here soon and my wish for all of us is knowing that we’re loved.

Light Snow

Just enough snow for a lovely little highlight.
