The Black Tree Mood

Yesterday’s, was clear and sunny and this photograph was taken in color. So why the dingy monochrome look? The simple answer is, it’s the way I felt.

This Covid-19 lockdown is getting on my nerves. The photograph could have and maybe even should have been developed as a colorful landscape. I just couldn’t do it.

It’s going to rain quite a bit this week.

I think this isolation is getting everyone down; other than closing the big cities and university towns, I can’t see the point of it.
I am begining to feel as if this is a big political experiment and we are the subject (victims) being monitored for our reactions.
Hay-ho, we live in interesting times.

Hang in there, John. I believe the lockdown is beginning to get to everyone, especially with the arrival of spring. On another note, it’s nice to see you posting again. Stay safe and healthy!

These are truly weird times. We’re being led (and misled) by ‘experts’ who really don’t know much more than our own individual intuitions tell us. Very encouraging that a sensible Swedish immunologist (and advisor to WHO) predicts casualties will likely be no greater than double a normal influenza season. It helps being an introvert…..the lockdown is like a gift from heaven. Your monochrome photograph tells the story perfectly. These days when we wish you to stay happy, safe and healthy we all really mean it.

I'd love to hear from you
