Living in Boston as I do, it is not at all unusual to see folks who are having a difficult time getting by. I regularly tell myself that taking pictures of them is kind of unfair. And in a way it is.
Showing off other people’s misery can be thought of as cruel. But on the other hand, it’s a part of life that we, way too often, choose to ignore. In this vastly unequal economy that we now live in, not seeing other people’s plight is also cruel.
