The Spare Change News newspaper is sold by street vendors to raise money for the homeless who live on Boston’s streets. The guys that do this are really good salesmen. They stop just one inch shy of being “in your face” aggressive. This man who hangs around downtown crossing has an attention-getting call reminiscent of a machine gun. He goes “AK AK AK AK” very loudly and rapidly making him extremely hard to ignore.
We have just told him that we had already bought the edition he was selling. Look at his eyes. We no longer interest him. He’s already scanning the crowd for the next potential customer.
I told you they were good salesmen.
