Storm Clouds

The clouds looming here over Boston’s financial district seem to me to portend a coming period of internal strife in this country where we painfully come to grips  with who we are as a nation. I don’t mean to be overly pessimistic here, but I find myself somewhat afraid of the almost hateful negativity loose in our current political dialog. I hope the better angels of our nature can lead us to a realization that the democratic ideas that our country are founded on are threatened and it’s time for a sober reassessment of who we are as a people.

PS I like this photograph too. Completely apart from all the gloom above. It was taken almost by accident since I was walking the other way and just happened to turn around to catch this view.

Bowtie Wearer With Bad Knees I spent my early years in Massachusetts in a little town called Easton. I went to Harvard, served in the Navy as Operations Officer on and LST, founded a construction company and served in the state Legislature as Assistant Minority Leader. However my life really began when I moved to Maine and opened an art gallery. I've been around the fine arts in the commercial art business for over 25 years now and loved (almost) every minute of it. I look at every day is a gift, except when it's very cold outside or I have to go to the dentist.

I'd love to hear from you
