I’ve heard it from many photographers. “Let your photos marinate.” Don’t make any quick assumptions about which ones are good or bad. The photograph above was one that I paid hardly any notice to when I first took it. It was a quick snap on a hiking trail in Petaluma, California that my wife and I walked all the time.
It’s one of my favorites now because, mostly thanks to dumb luck, I didn’t delete it and let it marinate for a while.
