Waiting For The Light To Dim

R0331137-EditsmallThis photograph was taken today at a lecture Sarah and I attended. We got there early (it’s a weakness of mine) and as we’re waiting, this sweet looking elderly lady sat down in front of us.

Her white hair and glasses against the slide projector screen mad for a good composition. The original image was in color but the tonal simplicity of black and white was chosen because what color there was seemed superfluous.

The more I looked at this photograph the more lonely it became. Hence the title.

I'd love to hear from you
