At 5:30 am I’m walking towards Boston’s Under Common Garage to get our car so we can drive to Maine in time to get the remains of our stuff out of storage. We’re moving it to down the road to a little barn in a town called Northport. We don’t have to pay rent there.
Downsizing is never easy but we both know it’s time.
The Prudential Building softly glistens in the morning’s early glow.
Lying in bed after a hard hectic day, looking out the small window of our borrowed bedroom, I distinctly feel another page of my life turning over.
It’s quite dark outside now.
