R0320073smallAs much as I’m drawn to photographing the scenic and the beautiful, life has other facets. In our city, Boston, where grace is often juxtaposed with gritty, it is important to be aware of both.

This lock is on a decaying steel door in the Arthur Fiedler overpass to the Charles River Esplanade. It has a tough graphic quality that, to me at least, makes a nice bookend to the previous photo on this blog.
